ME.JPG

As a long-time talent agent, I promoted and fostered the artistry and talents of others, but was frustrated with the lack of a creative outlet for my own personal expression. This is when I discovered metalwork.

Weaving metal perfectly marries my desire for beauty, cleanliness of design, control and simplicity. I am inspired by the raw beauty of metal, the strength that is inherent in its composition and its ability to be manipulated into alluring form. Weaving is an age-old technique that I have applied to make the most modern and contemporary jewelry designs. I enjoy combining silver with gold components and pops of color with diamonds or gemstones. In some new work, I am exploring various texture techniques, including grinding Argentium Silver into dust, then fusing the dust in layers and combining 22k gold, oxidized or bright finishes.

My work has been featured at fine art and craft shows, across the country, in fine art galleries and in industry publications. I also work as an educator, in the Metals Department at Lill Street Art Studios, in Chicago, IL.

On the left, I have woven with thin, flattened silver wire, which I will then fuse to a base of silver. The right photo shows how I hand-construct a silver loom to then weave upon.

Notes on Ordering

Much of my work is made to order and depending on the design, a time quote will be given at the time of the order. In general, most of my rings are wide band rings. Because a wide band covers more of the finger, your regular size will have to be adjusted so that ring fits correctly and is not too tight. The best way to get your correct ring size is to have your finger measured on a wide band ring sizer. A lot of my rings are a soft square shape but can also be made round. Custom orders are non-returnable and non-refundable.
